While we are not liable for any transactions that occur within our site, we want to make the best buy/sell area on the net the safest. We strive to be proactive in preventing fraud before it even happens.
The below guidelines will reduce the chance of being defrauded by another member. We urge all users to adhere to the below points. Furthermore, we are unable to assist when they are ignored.
______________________________________________________
Payment methods: only use Paypal or perform meet-ups. Never send money order, cash, wire, or anything else.
Paypal: Do not send Paypal as a gift - doing so defrauds Paypal and prevents a dispute from being filed later. Check your Paypal account to make sure the payment was received; spoofed emails are common.
Shipping: make sure you properly pack the item to prevent damage during shipping. For shoes, ship double boxed only. Make sure Signature or Delivery Confirmation is added to every shipment.
Used items: understand that pre-owned items, especially shoes, are especially risky to purchase. Get as many pictures as possible and a complete description of the item, and understand that these items are sold "as-is" within the Marketplace. Disputes over the condition of used items is considered "he-said-she-said" and are not accepted.
Pictures: receive tagged pictures of all angles of the product with flaws explicitly stated. When you receive your end of the transaction, immediately take pictures of the item and packaging for reference.
Meet-ups: make sure you meet in a public place (the mall, for instance), and do not exchange goods unless you are 100% satisfied. Count the money in person. Once you walk away from the meetup, you are signaling satisfaction.
Contact: only use the discussion page for exchanging information. Never use email, private message, phone, etc. for communicating any transaction details.
Faith: never believe a user who swears they are not a scammer. Everyone, including a scammer, would say the same thing. Never deal with previously banned users.
